Cultivating Changemakers: Youth Empowerment through activism
Are you engaged in an NGO, civil society organisation, or ann other community groups focusing on young people and teenagers active in Green Deal issues?
ACCTING is funding 10 innovative projects on specific topics that have high potential to reduce or prevent inequalities and negative impacts related to the Green Deal on poorer, marginalised and vulnerable groups. Up to €32,000 per pilot will be awarded – subject to costs motivation from applying parties – for projects which should last up to 12 months. The call for organisations to implement these projects is open until 8. September 2023.
The pilot action, “Cultivating Changemakers: Youth Empowerment through activism – Internship opportunities for school students at NGOs working on social justice in relation to the Green Deal”, aims to empower students and inspire them to create positive change in their community through fostering a transformative shift in the attitudes and behaviours regarding the Green Deal and sustainable practices. Through this funding opportunity, the objective is to support projects that engage students in sustainability-focused activities, foster leadership skills, and encourage environmental consciousness.
For this specific call, we are looking for NGOs, civil society organisations, and other community groups who have active collaborations established with schools.
Under this call, applicants are required to have also documented and proven experience in the following areas:
- Established network and collaboration with local associations and grassroots organisations linked to the domains of Green Deal issues.
- Proven knowledge in volunteer engagement and community mobilisation.
- Previous involvement in projects related to education, school-community engagement.
- Project development in all its components (budgeting, planning, implementation, reporting)
