ACCTING’s Final Conference
Socially and economically vulnerable groups are the first to be impacted not only by climate change, but also by environmental policies aimed to counteract climate change, which includes the Green Deal. The EU-funded ACCTING project has been generating research on these effects and explored solutions to mitigate them. For its final conference, ACCTING invites representatives of civil society, non-governmental organisations, policymakers, decision-makers, and other (research) projects and initiatives related to the Green Deal. The aim is to explore together new leverages and better stories that help achieve a more socially just and inclusive Green Deal.
Sessions
The conference starts with an introductory session, providing insights from the project’s gender+ intersectional analysis of behavioural change that can facilitate a socially just green transition. This is followed by three sessions focusing on leverages identified within ACCTING to develop innovative solutions for an inclusive Green Deal:
Disadvantaged people as key drivers for change: engaging with marginalised groups to co-create a just transition
Solving resistances to change: redefining the notion of public interest
Reimagining commons for an inclusive transition /// Building new partnerships for behavioural change
